CV Snapshot: B-BBEE Advisor and Strategist (15 years) and received a SANAS- approved BEE Verification Technical Signatory designation. Completed his Master’s
on “Strategic foresight and developing black entrepreneurs in SA” at Regent
University (Virginia, USA) in 2016. His thesis that formed the basis for developing
the B4i Empowerment Model received the top academic award and he was subsequently inducted into the “Who’s Who of Students in the USA” in 2017 for
his work on this. He founded the Business for Empowerment Trust (Public Benefit
Organisation) in 2008 which since distributed millions to projects that care for
vulnerable women and children and projects that fight against the trafficking of
women and children.

CV Snapshot: Ugeshree lead the development of one of the first Wind Energy projects in SA – The Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm (95MW). Furthermore, she was instrumental in the formation of the renewable energy spin-off company at Exxaro Resources, called Cennergi and helped develop the energy portfolio. More recently she played a leading role in shifting the socio-economic landscape of South Africa by implementing sustainable and economically robust projects in a collaborative approach. She has developed B-BBEE strategies specializing in Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) across the Mining, Renewable Energy, Health, Tourism and Construction Industries. Her recent work includes developing the ESD strategy for the Expanded Power Works Programme, under the Gauteng Premier’s Office “Tshepo 1 Million Jobs” project. She also successfully co-led the development of the Amadeus National Tourism Visitor Information system (NTVIS) a new model for public-private collaboration in the tourism industry, under the DTI’s National Industrial Participation Programme.

She is currently serving her 3rd term as a Board Member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce with a focus on promoting business relationships between SA and Spain as well as the EU.

CV Snapshot: Advocate Mahlangu is a practising Advocate of the High Court of South Africa having been admitted in 2011 and is currently a non-executive director of the State Information Technology Agency and a member of the Institute of Directors in SA (IoDSA). His key areas of practice being Commercial Law, Public Law, Labour Law, Municipal Law and Construction Law. He started his legal career as Candidate Attorney at Ledwaba Mazwai Attorney (2009-2010) whereafter he was called to the Bar (Johannesburg Association of Advocates). While studying Law at the University of Pretoria, he worked part-time as BEE Analyst at BEE2Business (2005-2008) wherein he assisted corporate clients in structuring
BBBEE transactions.

He was a member of Appeals Advisory Committee of Gauteng Department of Health (2015-2017). He is an aspiring business leader having interests in the Property Industry. He is also a member and director in The B4I group of companies and serves as a trustee in Business 4 Empowerment Trust, a non-profit organisation providing funding to homes whose purpose is to empower previously disadvantaged individuals, through skills development, and whose aim is to eradicate abuse, in all its manifestations, aimed at women and children.

CV Snapshot: As a former partner at PWC, who headed up Consulting within the Entrepreneurial Advice Division before turning entrepreneur himself, this qualified CA believes in looking to possibilities and potential, which often lie beyond the financial statements.

Jaco has been involved in setting up and growing various startup companies before co-founding Futureneers, a Corporate Innovation Consultancy and Alternative Assets Fund Management Company. Futureneers together with B4i was instrumental in developing the innovative empowerment, incubation and development processes, workflows and methodologies which forms the basis of our operational model. Jaco is a key part of the operational team, assisting the projects the VCC invests in to develop their ideas, formulate profitable business models, go to market and scale thereafter.

Main Qualifications: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) | His Qualifications further include holding a Certificate in Principles of Business and Management from Wits University, a Christian Ministry Diploma from PE Bible Academy, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Newport University, and a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Regenesys Business School.

CV Snapshot: Steve currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Printing SA, an Industry Trade Organisation responsible for the sustainability of the Printing and
Packaging Industry. In addition, he serves on the Boards of anumber of institutions including: The Printing Industries Pension and Provident Fund for SATU members, Spectramed Medical Aid Scheme (chairman), Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Seta and more. Steve's previous positions include serving for four and half years as the Founding General Manager of one of the three of Mr Mandela’s official Charity
organisations, The Mandela Rhodes Foundation. Steve is also a member of the following Professional Bodies: Member of the South African Institute of Directors
South African Institute of Print (SAIP) and hold the designation of Print Director Technical (PDT).

Janette specialises in the development and presentation of in-house and e-learning training programmes on anti-corruption compliance, the prevention of fraud, the legal and ethical duties duties of directors, the role of social and ethics committees, ethics management, and creating an organisational culture of integrity with particular reference to the King
Reports. Apart from training, Janette consults, provides legal opinions and performs
ethics investigations on behalf of her clients.
